Manuel has  been drawing and painting as long as he can remember.

Through the pen, his stories takes form. Although painting is

a passion of his, the power of just light and shadow has always been

his main form of expression. There is a certain honesty to it that colours 

cannot hide

the dark corners of existence, forgotten, and overgrown, where 

the everyday life didn't bother to stop.

It is mentioned in many of the stories surrounding the discovery of the Canaries

that the native inhabitants seemed to be living as with their backs towards the sea.  

a notion Manuel can relate to, as his curiosity ever since he was a kid, went lost in the

highlands beyond the beaches.
